Many people don’t realize that Sesame Workshop is a nonprofit organization. For all of our programs, which include productions in more than 140 countries, we must cover the substantial cost of research and curriculum development, writing, design, production, and more.

Revenue from the sale of Sesame Street merchandise covers some of these costs for our domestic projects. But in those underserved regions of the world where our resources are most needed, there are limited licensing and merchandising opportunities. This is why Sesame Workshop needs your help. We are turning to people like you to bring our programs to life for millions of children around the world.
